Uniform

We expect all students to wear full school uniform throughout every day:

We want to make sure that students and parents are completely clear about what is, and is not, allowed so that money is not wasted by purchasing inappropriate items.

We strongly recommend that all items of uniform are named so that they can be returned to the student if lost.

Jumper You can now buy uniform directly, by clicking on the jumper on the left.  Please be aware you will need to make payment by card when placing your order.  Alternatively, uniform can be bought from the School Office (payment by cash or cheque).

In Autumn 2016 we introduced a new Brookvale uniform which is compulsory for all Year 7s.             Year 8 and Year 9 students can continue to wear the old compulsory uniform until they need to purchase new uniform, when the new guidance below must be followed:

At Brookvale we believe uniform is important for several reasons.

Blue Brookvale v-neck jumper or cardigan with school logo

Available from school.

All students must have an official branded jumper or cardigan, but it does not need to be worn at all times. They should not be tucked in skirts or trousers when worn.

A tie must be worn at all times (including break and lunchtime) except when participating in PE.

Other suppliers' "schoolwear" range may not meet our uniform requirements.   This DOES NOT include any of the following: denim trousers, trousers with rivets, trousers with a low waist, trousers made of any stretchy material, trousers that are tight on the legs, trousers made of any fabric other than standard school trouser fabric, leggings, Chinos and any trousers that follow a current fashion trend. Trousers are acceptable for males and females.

If a skirt is purchased from another supplier it must comply with our requirements and be pleated.

Shirts should be buttoned up to the neck. Shirts should be long enough to be tucked into trousers/skirts at all times. Long sleeves can be rolled up to the elbows, but short sleeves should not be rolled up.

Plain black flat or low heel school shoes or plain black trainers.
